Freedom Solar is seeking an exceptional individual who is smart, organized, hard-working and passionate about solar. Candidate must be reliable, self-motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented and personable. Strong writing and editing skills with a commitment to accuracy are essential.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The Community Outreach Manager will support the PR team, and work with external marketing contractors to further the executive vision to improve the visibility of Freedom Solar in local communities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A college degree and a minimum three years work experience and/or training related to the duties described above is required.

COMPENSATION: Position is full-time with health insurance and PTO. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year (depending on experience)
Primary Purpose: Lead/manage a commercial system installation crew responsible for installing systems from 10kW – 1MW.
Valid Journeyman Electrician license (preferred)
Valid NABCEP Certification
Valid driver’s license
Valid OSHA 10 (30 is preferred)
Valid forklift certification (preferred)
Knowledge of local electrical codes
Knowledge of commercial PV design and components
Knowledge of basic trades: roofing, carpentry, plumbing, and metal framing
Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring schematics, and electrical instructions
Ability to make field changes and communicate with Project Manager
Ability to test voltages from 10V – 1000VDC / 120V – 480VAC
Ability to manage up to 20 installers on one project
Ability to receive and distribute instructions
Ability to communicate problems to Project Manager
Ability to Travel up to 50% in a year
Ability to drive a truck and trailer safely
Ability to operate heavy equipment: skid-steer, forklift, reach boom, scissor lift, articulating boom lift, and skytrack.
Ability to fly a DJI Phantom drone safely
6 years of commercial solar installation experience
+6 years of electrical experience (preferred)
Key decision maker on > 10 systems over 50kWDC
Key decision maker on > 5 systems over 100kWDC
Clearly communicate start times with the crew.
Hold safety meetings daily, before any work if performed on site.
Organize a job site and keep organized throughout the entire construction process.
Install racking system per manufacture’s specifications and Freedom Solar plans on different roof types.
Develop field plans for wiring configuration for DC circuits and grounding of the array
Manage the panel installation per plans and local codes
Install DC and AC equipment per plans and local codes
Commission PV systems safely
Test system components while the system is operational. Report all findings/issues to the Project Manager
Assist in system designs and procurement for commercial systems
Work with city and utility officials to constantly improve design and install methods
Attend city and utility inspections
Primary Purpose: Install, maintain, and repair services and solar equipment on residential solar projects while helping to create a safe job site.
